We heard you.
"Your menu is too expensive" has become an increasingly familiar refrain here at Cook's Lobster House over the past few years.
Some online reviewers have suggested that we are "resting on our laurels" and don't understand "how we sleep at night."
After some deep reflection and soul searching we can't really argue with that.
We have some of the best customers and Facebook fans in the world, and you deserve better.
Our new Summer 2013 menu came out last Friday.
The prices on our non-lobster menu items have dropped on average 15%. None of the portion sizes have decreased (in fact some have gotten bigger).
We've gone back to market pricing for all of our lobster items. If lobster prices are anything like they were last summer, enjoying a hot boiled lobster dinner will be 45% cheaper than it was last year.
You read that correctly: if the lobster market is the same as last year, lobster prices @ Cook's Lobster House will be 45% cheaper.
Why on Earth would we drop prices that much?
To be perfectly frank, those criticisms of being overpriced were 100% accurate. We'll sleep better at night, which means we'll be well rested when we see your smiling faces come through our doors this year.
Thank you for being the most loyal fans and customers a business could ask for.
We look forward to seeing you soon.

Everybody Loves Lobster!
Having only two owners in 58 years speaks volumes about our consistent commitment to all aspects of this unique business.
In keeping with our high standards for quality, everything is prepared to order. The stews, chowders and sauces are homemade daily. Our coleslaw is a delicious combination of freshly shredded cabbages, combined with our own unique dressing; something we hope you will try! All our delicious desserts are baked in our kitchen by our award winning pastry chef, Jan Coombs. Her blueberry pie is a culinary experience in and of itself.
To add to your experience of dining by the sea, we suggest a walk along the point to enjoy an unparalleled view of the world's only Cribstone bridge. The bridge was built in 1927 and entered on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and a National Civil Engineering Landmark. The bridge was rebuilt in 2009-2011 to hopefully withstand another 85 years of ceaseless motion and exposure.
